Hey, so I am about to be a sophmore in college. I am undecided at a major, but was interested in marketing. I remember that the marketing class I took in high school was really enjoyable and the teacher thought that some of my ideas in my projects were phenomenal. Now I am not really sure what I could do with a major so any help if anyone knew would help. I am kind of a shy guy and not the most personable person in the world, but I do have a lot of friends and kind of a popular guy. I guess I was just wondering if a marketing job requires a lot of interactions with people and meeting new people and so forth. Ok thanks for your time.

Depends on what you do as there is a lot to "marketing".
You can work in Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Research, Brand management, Sales, Project management, the list just keeps going.

You can take a look at the core marketing courses and see what they offer, maybe go to the career center and ask do some searching online. There are definitely jobs that require more interaction with people (sales, account management) than other jobs do. But don't let that deter you.
