Schools/Majors:
Emerson (Marketing Communications)
Elon University (Marketing)
Univ of SC (Retailing / Fashion Merchandising)
Christopher Newport Univ (Marketing)
NC A&T (Fashion Merchandising)
Furman (Marketing)

Of the list of schools above, which would be preferred for Marketing. Student has a strong interest in Fashion Marketing/Merchandising. Options are basically above.

What's the difference between what you get out of Marketing Comm, Retailing/Fashion Merchandising and traditional Marketing? Is there a reason to choose any of the listed schools or majors above over another? I have things I like and dislike about each of the schools. The fact that Emerson has a VERY small math requirement is a plus, but they're limited in other opportunities, such as a minor in Spanish, for example. Elon seems to be a good size and has an amazing study abroad program and offers a more traditional college experience with sports, spirit and greek life, but the town may be too small for someone from a big city. Univ of SC's retailing program is very appealing and seems to have a good reputation as well as a traditional college atmosphere, weather, school spirit, sports, etc. Christopher Newport is small, up-and-coming, seemingly quiet, but the area around the campus leaves me with a question and I'm not sure about the school spirit. I do like the school though. NC A&T has Fashion Merchandising, but I'm not sure how the reputation of the program. Furman has what seems to be a standard Marketing program and i've heard great things about Greenville.

Thanks for any and all feedback!
