Hi everybody, so I'm having a bit of dilemma. With me still being in high school, I'm only positive about a few things regarding my time in college. I am 99.9% sure I want to minor in Journalism, as I am a very good writer and I have a passion for it, as well. I want to make a fairly good amount of money (at least 70,000+/year) and I am interested in both Marketing and Advertising as a major to go along with my minor in Journalism. I am not sure, however, which of these two will make the best use of my writing talent. I am also unsure which of the two, combined with Journalism, would make me more money. Thank you in advance for any advice/information anybody has to offer.

You seem to have your heart set on Journalism. If that’s what you care about, screw the 70,000 a year.

I honestly don’t want a career in SOLELY Journalism. I really want to try and explore my interest in the world of marketing and advertising, because I feel like my talent for writing would allow me to be successful in at least one of the two.
