Marlboro College

I've been really thinking about applying to Marlboro College as a Senior next year, but I'm concerned about it's location and education quality-student quality. It has a 85% acceptance rate (roughly) and I would like to know more about it.

What I know already: Low enrollment rate-300-ish students, and that it is located in an isolated part of Vermont. I have a 3.00 Academic GPA and a 2.8 Cumulative GPA.

Has anyone had experience with Marlboro College before? I heard it was an amazing place for education, as well as community.

ask here:

I had a good friend who attended in the 90’s. It’s not very far from Brattleboro, VT, which is pretty great town. It’s also not that far a drive from the 5-college consortium in the Northampton, MA area. As you know, it’s VERY small, so “politics” can sometimes be a PITA and hard to avoid. That’s about all I know.

Have you visited? You should definitely visit when school is in session, walk around, go to a meal, talk to students. I think it’s kind of a love it or hate it type of thing, and visiting would definitely help you decide.
