Not that I think I even have a shot at this, but I was looking online at this scholarship offered by NYU, and some websites said you had to have mentioned this to your guidance counselor in late fall in order to be considered. Are the websites false?

Yeah, there is a nomination paper. The college office in my school had it and they asked me if I wanted to be nominated (this was before I got accepted). Don't think I'll get it either though lol

"Please note that no special applications are required for NYU merit scholarships. All qualified applicants are automatically considered." - from the NYU admissions thingy NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Financial Aid > Scholarships.

Why must they deceive us so? sighs Oh vell.

Haha I know. I don't think MLK is considered a Merit scholarship though. It's more of a program based on merit, community service, and some stuff. They go on special trips or something.

But there's also scholars program for each school, that also gives out money. I'm hoping if I'm lucky enough that Tisch will pick me. :)

I believe the Scholrs programs at most schools are being abolished. Replaced with merit scholarships for school applicants.

Where did you hear that?

NO! That would not be good! For me! :( lmao
