Wow that’s fantastic

Haha that’s crazy. I talked to my cousin at U of M though, and he said Markley isn’t as wild as people say…the parties are pretty easily avoidable if you want to, and and it really only gets “wild” on the weekends (for the kids who stay in the dorm). It’s pretty much just a great place for freshman to meet others and get a great college experience.

Without a doubt, Markley made my freshman year. I would give anything to go back and experience some of the moments that I had with my friends. Trust me, it’s really the best freshman dorm on campus.

^ Pretty much what my cousin said too!

Thank you for all the replies. Markley sounds fun! I’m excited :)

^ Me too! I don’t plan on partying a lot since my schedule sucks, but hopefully I’ll still meet a lot of cool people and have fun, it should be awesome!

lol nice desparate attempt XD

markley’s pretty good, i just didn’t like the location. On weekends, its a pain to go to north because bus doesn’t stop by markley, so you have to walk to other bus stops.
It’s all freshmen, so you’ll make alot of friends.

I’ve never been to the ugli last year except for few group meetings; I always studied at the computer lab(plug in headphones+turn off the computer screen) because the chair in there is just so comfy.

Markley had some pretty crazy stories too. I’ve heard some guys hiring strippers and getting busted. Another extreme one was these two guys were using their dorm to sell drugs O.o

I got declined by HSSP, so have to say bye couzens hall, which is ridiculously awesome. However, I feel content that I was later assigned to MM double cause for an LSA student, MMH is certainly closer to calsses than north domitories where most students are assigned to even they set central campus as their first choice. Another pleasant fact is that MMH is besides Public Health school, which I’d like to explore. Also u dnt have to worry about food! I am looking forward to MMH!

Markley wasn’t that bad. Everyone I knew that tried to get into Ross made it. 1st Little was suppose to be the worst hall in the whole UM dorm system yet we all did fine. Yes I was able to study in the room (that is what headphones are for), but when push comes to shove you need to head to a real library (not the UGLi). Good luck and GO BLUE!
