<p>Is Maryland Day a good day to make a college visit if you're considering attending UMCP. I was looking at the site and it seems like a lot of people and events and almost like a fair rather than a college visit.</p>

<p>Took son last year. It is like a fair but you are able to tour campus ,talk to professors in your major, and get tons of information on just about any topic. We are going back this year in addition to tour in March for admitted students</p>
<p>Would it be worth it as a visit for me? I'm a junior in high school and I am considering Maryland. I don't really have much information on UMCP. So i just want to know if it's worth it.</p>
<p>The campus tours on MD Day are abbreviated versions of the regular student-led tour. Like finisher said, there are a variety of info sessions on various topics. MD Day is a good time to go for a casual visit but it is by no means tailored to prospective students. Going for an admitted students day next year is an absolute must, in my opinion-- it made my decision for me!</p>
