Okay so i have my audition at marymount on friday for the B.F.A. in Acting major. Marymount is my first choice so i just wanted to know if anyone had a insight on what i should expect when i get their.

One thing that is different at Marymount’s audition compared to most other schools is that you audition in front of the other applicants.

My daughter auditioned in January for Marymount. Those who audition are split into two groups based on last name. Each group auditions in front of all those in their group. My daughter was expecting this and so had no problem with performing in front of her peers. I believe they had a warm up with everyone before they started. My daughter said it was great seeing what each person had prepared and she really enjoyed the day. She said everyone was laid back and she felt very comfortable at the audition. It did take all afternoon because the day she auditioned I believe there were well over a 100 kids auditioning for acting and the musical theatre minor. The day started with a brief overview of the BFA and BA programs so you could fill out your preferences after hearing about each program and also a brief description of the school etc. with some students fielding questions. Best of luck with your audition.
