I know they have regular academic rolling admissions, I thought I read here somewhere, it is for the auditions as well?? Is there such a thing?
Based on my daughter’s experience, I’ll say the answer is no. She submitted her academic application by Dec 1st, and with that, all the audition slots were full. She had to submit a video audition.
Ditto what @DramaQueen219 said…same boat - all slots were full by Dec 1 (except for one regional city if I recall correctly). D submitted videos.
We could have gone to California! But considering we live about 30 minutes from the school, we took the video option
@dramaqueen219. My d had sent in videos too but also waitlisted for a particular date. she got an e-mail the other day saying to come in on that date (I guess someone cancelled.) Wondering if your D waitlisted for an aud…and had the same luck?
Marymount is rolling admission both academically AND artistically. My son and daughter both auditioned for the acting program on Nov. 18, and both got their result 10 days later by email.
@MThopeful2022 just realized I never answered your question. Since I posted that, she was waitlisted to the program, based on her video submission. Waitlisted to both acting and MT. Sigh. When given the option to submit video (or travel out of NY to audition, lol), we were told the waitlist to audition was also full!
Since then, we’ve been inundated with the ‘come to our school’ mailings- even a happy birthday e-mail! She’d love to come, but you need to take her off that waitlist
