MassTransfer and honest advice please

I have two choices, Quinsigamond Community College or Framingham State University. My goal is to get into UMass Amherst. So should I go to FSU or Quinsigamond? My GPA was average, hence I didn't get into UMass when I initially applied. Money is not that big of an issue, but I would like to keep it as less as possible, since my whole goal is to get into UMass Amherst and its pointless to pay a large amount of money for another university that I will only transfer out of to get into UMass Amherst, in which I will pay a big sum again.

I have heard about MassTransfer and how it guarantees admission if I maintain a 2.7 GPA or better in one of the community colleges (Quinsigamond is part of the MassTransfer program).

I don't know if the same applies to FSU. If I transfer out of FSU, then I fear I will have to compete (I am not scared to work hard, just saying) with others for limited seats whereas with Quinsigamond, I will get guaranteed seats. The problem is Quinsigamond is that I have to stay there for all of two years to transfer.

So my question is:

Should I go FSU and trying transferring to UMass Amherst after one semester or one year or should I go to Quinsigamond and work with the MassTransfer program?

If I go to Quinsigamond, do I have to complete all two years? Is it not possible to complete just one semester?

Thank you for the help!

Bump. Anyone? Please?

This is such a specific question, I think you should contact transfer admissions at UMass and see what they think.
