Lol, this is one of the jokes on my debate team^.

Anyway, how are y'all CC'ers at debate?

I have won 3rd place twice at semi-States [like half of state goes to one event, another half to another event, meeting at a 'State' at the end of the year].

My sister has won 2nd Speaker at States [Almost got 1st except for judges[she got a loss for supporting illegal immigrants' natural rights....]!!!!!!] and 1st Place Team, 1st Place Speaker, 3rd Team x2 at semi-States

I'm from CT.

Austin Powers, lol. I’m actually watching Goldmember right now.

And that scene is actually on RIGHT NOW.

Awk.

^Lol, I didn’t know it was from Austin Powers…

3rd in LD at the Alaska State Championships (really not sure how that happened). Either way, I’m going to NCFL nationals, and I’m super excited.

My partner and I got 48th in an international competition last year (About 2/3 British, the rest European or Canadian). We don’t have state equivalent competitions though, they’re just run by different organisations and I’ve done differently in each one.

I live in CT, which is weird because only a few private schools compete in NFL here, even though we have great debaters [Yet another movie reference]. The highest level of competition is States as part of the Connecticut Debate Association [CDA]. Basically we do policy there. Also, there is Yale Osterweiss which is the ‘States’ of parliamentary in CT. Also, at Osterweiss, I narowly missed out on a medal, and I was the 2nd youngest debater there [it is a competition for seniors at fancy prep schools, I’m a freshman at an engineering magnet…]
