Master List of Music School Final Decisions, Fall 2013

Congratulations to alexmariejp and daughter. Is that a single BM degree with two majors, or two entirely separate BM degrees?

Two entirely separate BM degrees, BassDad.

Well, then, congratulations again.

Congratulations to Organista who, on another thread, announced a decision to attend Cleveland Institute of Music.

My son will be attending Juilliard to study composition with John Corigliano.

Congrats to you and your son, Hunt! He had wonderful choices for his MM.

Congratulations Hunt. Good studio to choose :)

Thanksā€“heā€™s very excited. Iā€™m still mourning the scholarships at some of the other places, but I think heā€™s made the right choice.

Iā€™ll look forward to hearing some of his music, soon! Perhaps my own sonā€™s ensemble will be playing it - you never knowā€¦ At least one member of his ensemble will be in the grad program at Juilliard next year. On bassoon.

Congratulations to Hunt and son.

Congratulations to bigdjp and son, on sonā€™s decision to attend Eastman for a BM in percussion performance, as mentioned on the acceptances thread.

Welcome to Oberlin. My S is a VP major and very happy there. And BassDadā€¦so nice to see you are still on the job and for the news with your child. You really are wonderful to do all this.

Daughter will be attending Ithaca College this fall for BM in Music Education/Performance on violin! Very excited!

Congratulations to Momof2violinists and daughter.

D spent the day today shadowing a VP major, happy to say that she is definitely going to commit to Hartt. She had a great day.

Congratulations ctclassjazz and daughter.

Congratulations to Hunt & son! Sounds like he made an outstanding choice from his excellent options!

Congrats everyone! Great schools showing up on here.

Iā€™ll be attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for a BA Music with Applied Emphasis (basically a BM degree without as much performance req).

Horns here we come. :)

Congratulations, Hunt, on your sonā€™s acceptances and decision! Quite impressive!

Congratulations, Obstructions. Can you tell me a bit more? Were you accepted anywhere else? Iā€™d like to include those schools on the acceptance thread. Also, what is your principal instrument? I see you mention horns, but that can refer to a lot of different instruments.
