<p>Today the deed was done. At accepted student day we paid the deposit for Frost, Miami. Music Ed/ saxophone with the amazing Dale Underwood.

<p>Well My D made her decision and about 30 minutes ago clicked the accept button for McGill for MM performance (Percussion). We are happy for her and know that her decision was based on what she wants/needs and not only finances because McGill did not offer the best deal but do have some of the best Prof’s and environment for her. One less thing for us to worry about, now to move on to the next step in life.</p>

<p>I applied to only a few schools. U of Minn, U Kansas, Augustana College (SD), and Yale. Accepted to all except Yale. And yes, I’m a french horn player. :)</p>

<p>The D of K8sDad has officially accepted at Belmont for Commercial Music (Voice).
$4K merit scholarship and no music money at this time. Holding out hope they want to throw some scholarship cash at a female singer (wait for laughs). </p>
<p>As it turned out, early (November audition) was fortunate. She fell in love with Belmont’s program, the campus, and Nashville. After acceptance, she cancelled all other auditions. That money will now go towards paying first year tuition (trying to convince myself that is just as good as a scholarship!).</p>
<p>Now I have 2 more years before it all starts over again with our S, a HS freshman drummer! </p>

<p>Obstructions, I will congratulate you over in the acceptance thread. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what major and what degree programs you would have gone into had you gone to Kansas and to Augustana.</p>

<p>My D is a High School Freshman, so I’m just watching and learning, and have some questions. Are all of the acceptances in? When are the deadlines for final decisions? Has everyone made decisions? It’s very educational to see where everyone chose to apply and attend. (Especially on the West Coast, and Vocal performance majors.) Thanks!</p>
<p>Megansmom, most of the acceptances are in. The national date for acceptance releases was April 1, but some schools run late. Also, that deadline only applies to the schools in the U.S., I believe. </p>
<p>The deadline for final decisions is May 1. Students need to confirm to a school and let the schools they won’t be going to know by that date. Nobody needs to make a decision until that date, as far as undergrads go. I believe the graduate decision deadline is April 15. </p>
<p>Feel free to inbox me if you’d like, and ask questions about my application and selection process. I’m from the west coast and applied for vocal performance, however, I will not be staying on the west coast for my degree.</p>
