Matches and Safeties, please!

This is my college list so far:

Amherst
Haverford
Swarthmore
Vassar
Wesleyan
Sarah Lawrence
Skidmore
Hampshire
Bard

Condensed stats:

GPA: Not sure what my average is on a 4-point scale, my yearlong average jr. year was a 96.7, pretty much on par with my other years. The one snag is my grades are uneven, like 100s in APUSH and 90s in Precalc.

SATs: V800, M640, W760 (uneven again!!!)
SATIIs: USH 690, Lit 710

APs: USH, 5

Taking the most difficult courses I possibly can at my school, which is not saying a lot.

ECs: Honors Society, 9-12 (trying for an officer position when school starts); Literary Magazine, 10-12, vice president and co-editor; mock trial, 11-12, attorney.

Misc.: Two summers doing a two-week summer academic program in my county (included staying on college campuses, Vassar and Bard, incidently), some international travel with my school, recognized in the first stage of National Merit (but doubt I'll get any farther).

Reccomendations are going to be golden (they better be or there will be bloodshed, lol), and I KNOW I can write a strong essay.

I think my list is really reach-heavy. Any suggestions for matches/safeties? Or am I good? (If you couldn't tell, I'm looking for artsty/politcally liberal NE LACs.)

Thanks!

have you considered connecticut college? its usually grouped with the vassar, wesleyan, skidmore types of schools. it would be a nice match for you.

I think from that list that you should definitely get into Hampshire and Sarah Lawrence and very probable at Bard and Skidmore. Amherst, Swarthmore are high reaches with Wesleyan and Vassar also as reaches, but with a legitamite shot to get in. You may want to learn more about three more schools that are of similar ilk to the ones you've mentioned: Bates (slight reach), Connecticut College (match), Bennington College (safety).

Do you want to just stay in the Northeast? If you're open to schools in the Midwest, you might check out Macalester, Oberlin, Carleton, and Grinnel. Also, are you a girl??...if so maybe Scripps in CA as a safety..

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am staying the the NE. I'm a girl, too, but I think I'd really hate an all-female school. It took time for me to even warm up to 75% female Sarah Lawrence, lol.

If you are looking at Hampshire and Bard you should definitely take a look at Bennington too.
