just a general question, i checked my status on a school website today, and i have everything complete except my transcript and counselor rec,

my question is, do counselors have the same deadlines as we do? im kinda worried that he is not gonna send everything in in time

think about this....they have thousands and thousands of applications to process and enter into the system, applications are FIRST, then the transcript and rec...so do you think that it is all entered at once

its also the HOLIDAY season, and offices are closed.....

No, GCs do not have the same deadline dates as students.

GCs don't have the same deadlines??? you sure... I thought EVERYTHING (your stuff + GC stuff) had to be in by the same deadline

OP, don't worry... the paperwork is probably buried under a huge pile somewhere in the admissions office... they'll get it eventually - I've been waiting for stuff to show up online for weeks

I am absolutely, 100%, unequivocally sure that GCs do not have the same deadline as students.

They are off during the christmas break just like you, and they are not walking around with transcripts in their bags (at least not this week ;) )

does that mean if I got another app done within the next two days and asked my GC to get forms/transcripts in right after school started, colleges would still look at the application??? (my school starts on the 7th... kinda late)

Yes, they will. Just let your GC know when you get back to school. If they are common app schools and you have other applications done on the common app, the only thing your GC should have to do is print out a copy of the evaluation (which can be downloaded in MS word format) print, sign and seal your transcripts and send them to the school.

If your GC require that you submit addressed stamped envelopes, have them ready when you return to school.
