Next year I will be a junior taking Accelerated Algebra Two with Trigonometry. As a Senior I will be in AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and Pre-calculus (second semester only). This year I was in basic geometry but passed the class with flying colors and a 94%+ on every test. I also plan on obtaining the College Board or Barron's copies of the guides for the tests so I can study. I really enjoy math, and am willing to do what it takes to understand it. Which do I take?

if you know Trig by the time the SAT comes around, definitely take Math II. The curve is much better, and allows you to get up to 4 or 5 wrong to still get an 800. While math I is easier, it has a much harsher curve.

You will need some Pre-Calc for Math2. You should try both in practice. The curve for Math1 sucks while Math2 is very generous. So it is hard to say which one you may score higher. Nevertheless, if you are applying for science or engineering programs, Math2 is the one you should take.

What do you mean Precalculus for Math 2? The way Pre-calc is set up at my school is this…1st Semester: Algebra II, Trig, Algebra I Review…2nd Semester: Introduction to calculus…Do I need it?

Math 2 sounds like what I am wanting to take, I plan to go into maybe something like a science major anyway.
