Which to SAT math to take? Math 1 or math 2?

i'm going into ap calc ab. in the fall and i'd like to take one of the math tests in october or november. Which one would I do better in??

Also. i'm wondering which test is more difficult??

Thank you.

2--an 800 is only, like 83%-ile

2 is obviously more difficult but looks more impressive to colleges

take IIC...the curve is much nicer...I got a 750 on math IC and it was 97%, so it's evidently ferocious when it comes to missing a question or two. I didn't answer 10 and still got a 740 on Math IIC. HAHA. That's not a good score, but it still sounds good.

If you're just going into Calc, you're ready for Math IIC. Everything should be fresh in your mind.

lol just take both

that's what i did :)

I think IIc both looks better to colleges and would be a better test for you take, b/c if I remember correctly IIc is trig and algebra based whereas Ic is geometry and I'm going to guess that geometry is way in the back of your memory so to stick with what you know best, or at least that's how I looked at it when deciding which one to take.

I am also going to be taking AP Calc AB in the fall but I am taking Math I because our school's curriculum up until now (and I am taking the most rigorous classes available) apparently did not cover a portion of what I understand to be the Math II material (such as vectors, imaginary numbers, ellipses, factorials) although it did cover things like logarithms and trig functions fairly well. I say you look over some of the material that each test covers and see how comfortable you are with the using/learning the material. I've never even learned some of the Math I things (argh, permutations and combinations) but c'est la vie. :(

Edit: Maybe try practice tests in both to see? I don't know much about the curves but since everyone says the Math II has a better curve...

take Math II. the UCs for example, only accept Math level II

Take 2C. Curve is irrelevant. You should know enough math to get a good score.
