Math 10a/20a for economics major

My major's undeclared as of now, but I'm thinking of either Economics or Management Science.

I'm going to Thurgood Marshall and one of the GE requirements are two math courses. Econ major requires 10a/20a, and Management Science requires 20a.

So my questions are:
1. When the econ major says '10a/20a', it means that I can take EITHER 10a OR 20a and they will count?
2. I have NEVER taken calculus before. It's too long to explain, but I have no foundation in calculus. Would it be really hard for me to start with math 20a? Should I just stick with 10a?
3. If I take math 10a, will it transfer as BOTH a GE credit AND my major requirement?

Thanks!

Yes

Both 20A and 10A are designed for people who've completed precalculus. If you've done this, you're prepared for either.

Yup. And so will 20A.
