I’m thinking about taking it next semester (summer) and I’m kinda scared because it’s obviously fast-paced and I’m terrible at math, but I placed into calc 1. I haven’t done any math since HS (except for stats, which I couldn’t get an A on even…). I need it for my major. Do you think it’s a bad idea?
Why cant you just take it fall semester? Summer is very fast paced and plenty of people take calc 1 in fall
@Eeeee127 That would require me to drop Orgo 2, and I need to take physics before the end of junior year, and I think having a grasp of calc will help.
Dont u need to take Orgo 1 first though?
@Eeeee127 I did. Well, I am. The final is this Thursday.
Ohh so you are a sophomore. Usually students take calc 1 their freshman year. Good luck on your final!
Get it over with now. You’ll be happy to have it done and not be juggling other tough classes with it. I thought it was very easy, but I did have calculus experience. But from what I could tell, there were a lot of kids taking it who just hated and sucked at math and got behind very easily. Stay on top of your work/studying and you’ll do just fine
