I'm currently enrolled in Math 16A, the course that runs MWF. However, I realize that what I really really want to take is the Math 16A course that runs only T TH, but the waiting list for that class is 70 people long.

Do I have a chance of getting into that class? Do they usually just let anyone go into the class, even if they are on the waiting list?

From what I hear, you have a good chance of getting into a lower level class if your position on the waiting list is less than 10% of the total class size. Since the class obviously isnt 700 people, I would think there is a low chance you can get in.
Although, if you talk to the professor, who knows.

during CalSO.. the advisors kept saying..not to worry about math classes, because they always try to get everyone in.. since its such a general class. i did just that and saved it for phase 2.. now i'm stuck on the waiting list. i'm around 60 something on it. do i still have a shot at the class..? i really need it for the semester..
