this is a major issue right now because my CalSO is on this following monday. i am intended pre-med (bioE and public health major) and i'm pretty sure i got 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam. which math class should i take, math 1a, 1b, or 53?

Well, getting a 5 on BC passes you out of Math 1A and 1B, and it means you're prepared enough for Math 53. You'd be wasting your time retaking those classes. BioE requires Math 53, so take Math 53. To my knowledge, most people in your situation go that route, and I've known several who regret not going that route. There you go :).

so could i take 53 and 54 to fulfill the 1 year of math require for premed or do i have to do 1b and 53?

bio Es have to do 53 and 54 regardless, so skip out of 1a and 1b with your AP credit.
