math 31 series vs. math 3

How much harder is the math 31 series compared to the math 3 series? Which series is easier, and can I more likley do well/get an "a"? Sorry, orientation is in 2 weeks, and I JUST started reading on all the ucla courses. thanks
I got a 3 in AP calc AB.

"why...so..serious"?
xD

The 3 series has the reputation of being easier.

The 30 series isn't as bad as everyone says it is. It's more straight scaled, from what I've seen from grading distributions.

If you are comparing 3A - 3C vs. 31A-32A, then I think the difficulty is about the same, though the content is different in the last courses of the sequence listed above.

Math 32B and Math 33A were the hardest courses in the 30 series in my opinion, and the hardest to get an A. If you are going the premed path, you won't have to take those anyways.

A 3 in Calculus AB either means you slacked off during the course, or you are only average in math. You will have to try harder to get an A in the whichever sequence you choose.

Really, after reading more threads, I thought math 3 was the easier. hmph.

Do you use the statement "easier" in comparing the difficulty in [getting grades] or [difficulty in the topics covered in course(s)] ?

There are different responses depending on how you define "easier"?

grades. :)
