I really want to get a math club together. But worried that no one would come.

Cool story

Ask the math teachers at your school to advertise for you. They probably know some specific students that would be interested. Tell your friends to tell their friends. Post on Facebook. Spread the word, and you never know how many people will join. Being a club starter will look great on your app, so at least try! :)

Try starting a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta at your school. Mu Alpha Theta is the National Math Honor Society ([Mu Alpha Theta](<a href=“Mu Alpha Theta | National High School & Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society”>http://www.mualphatheta.org/)). See if you can find some local competitions that your school can participate in ([Welcome to the Math League](http://www.themathleague.com/)).

^ That’s cool guys thanks for advice. but do you guys know how to like get a sponser?

Usually, a teacher would be a sponsor. If you have a good/close relationship with a teacher, you should probably him/her. A math teacher would be optimal sponsor but it’s not necessary.

^ ok thanks.:)

Be aware though, that if you do nothing, starting a club would be a huge waste of time. Colleges are used to seeing people do this to throw on their apps.

What do you mean by doing nothing

I think he means “no compeitions” and stuff. yah, I won’t do that, I was thinking that we could participate in regional compeitions.

I think he means no compeitions and that but I won’t do that.

Wait Can I ask one more question? Do you guys know any math compeitions that are “good”?
