Ahhhh! ok so I've been taking practice tests from Barron's Math IIC. First I would get 43's or so (including minusing 1/4 per wrong and all). Then, today, I went all the way down to 40. Am I screwed to get a 600 in Math IIC or what???!?! Is it possible to massively prepare in one week or so to get up to 800? If so, what better books are there? I've heard Barron's has mistakes? Should I get 22 Real SAT IIC just for the one Math IIC? PANICK ATTAC.

i was getting 600's and low 700's a week b4 the test, and when i took the test, i got an 800. People might disagree w/ me, but using Barron's and ARCO (which is even harder than barron's) helped me out a lot because they are both a lot harder than the real test that, on test day, the test feels like a breeze.

I was lucky though because I had the whole week off b4 the november test so i studied from about 12pm to 11pm almost every day, and it hellped a lot.

The Math IIC is pretty easy to do well on ... i went from 690 1st practice test ---> 790 second test.....
what you have to focus on is just relax and do do each question thorougly... i knew how to do everything first practice test but its just that you have to focus ! and not jump to quickly to conclusions....
btw i 40 was like 750! not 600 lol.... that scared me for a second!

12pm to 11 pm... that's a heck of alot of studing...

What offers more realistic tests?

zogoto,

The Real SAT II's from the College Board would obviously offer more realistic tests, and I would recommend getting it, especially if you plan on taking more SAT IIs in the future.

Otherwise, I suppose you could get PR, which has pretty realistic practice tests.

the real sat II book is very realistic. my scores were idential on all the tests i practiced, including math.

Oh man. I just took another one and I got 39 raw score. What should I do?? I do worse every time!!

i have heard that the first 3 barrons tests are not so hard, but the ones afterwards are.

Try using barrons. Also do all of the sparknotes book. At least the practice sections. Using books that are harderthan the acutal tests really help. For the record i went from a 620 to a 780. If u study, u dont need to worry at all.
