I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade with A’s in both semesters which i transferred to my high school transcript, this year I am taking geometry, for 10th I am taking Algebra 2 and for 11th I am taking pre calc. Is it okay if I don’t do any math my senior year? It works best if I don’t because that way I get 4 english credits, 3 science credits and 4 math credits as well as fulfilling my PE, Art and Elective credits
Is there some reason you can’t do all of this and still take calculus? You would have five math credits, but that’s even better than four.
Take Calculus. Someone thinks you are on an honors track in HS…it will look strange to colleges if you don’t take math senior year.
@JCVeil if you plan on majoring in any of the sciences (biology, physics, CS) or math, then you should take calculus in your senior year.
If you have no intention of majoring in a math-related field, it may be okay to not take calculus, if you can replace it with a subject that interests you more.
But I highly doubt taking calculus would seriously impede your progress at fulfilling the other HS graduation requirements - right?
