do i have to be good at math to succeed in medical school and beyond?

Not really I shadowed a doc who said Calculus and organic chem are the two subjects he used the least.

Calc is not needed - I mean it's required, but it's not used. There has been only one thing in my entire M1 year that calc even applied to, and you didn't even have to really even understand it to get the concept (measuring blood volume through dye dilution...as an MD you'll have someone else figure it out for you).

On the MCAT, you only need to be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and understand Logs and other pretty straight forward math. Every school I've ever heard of allows you to take algebra based physics in undergrad.

Organic is slightly more useful, but the applications aren't direct...more having to do with biochem but that's organic chem at it's roots.
