Math placement exam

I was looking over the courses today, trying to wrap my head around how exactly I'm going to catch up to get my science curriculum underway. Seems like pretty much every science course requires you to be in at least calc. Which requires you to have had at least up to "college math and analytical geometry". Which in turn requires you to have scored at least 550 on the SAT or have an adequate score on the general studies math placement exam.

That implies that if I use SAT math study material, it will be more than adequate to place me directly into college math and bypass the p/f fundamentals course.

Anyone with firsthand knowledge who could verify that?

Every science course? I’d double check that. I think you can satisfy your requirement taking courses like Climate & Society. Ask your advising Dean, asap.

I should have been more clear. I intend to, if not major in science, study enough science to prepare me for the MCAT and/or pursue a graduate education in public health. I can’t meet with an adviser until after Jan. 4th, and I’d like to, you know, relearn math in the meantime.

Regardless, SAT math study books seem to cover enough to keep me busy until then.
