I got placed in Math10 and I am trying to the retake the test so that I can catch up because I got such a crappy score.

I do know that the test is about algebra and overlaps into geometry.

I am trying to get into at least Math30.

What kind of questions should I look out for on my placement test? I am attending Orange Coast College, in Costa Mesa, California for reference. Any ideas in reference to the placement you took at your CC would be extremely helpful as well.

Most non math majors only need to take statistics. Take math 10 in the spring. Take math 30 in the summer and you’ll be done with Math 160 in the fall.

If you’re serious about studying I would use the sample tests from the following links.

My major is Political Science. I do know I have to take stats. :)

Is there any possible way to override all of that and just take Statistics? Or is it impossible? I’m guessing the information is cumulative upon the classes that come before that or is Stats completely independent in reference to all of that?

And don’t I have to take Math20 in between Math10 and Math30? It seems like you skipped it, or I did something wrong?

1st thing, you need to take statistics are golden west college because the course at orange coast college doesn’t transfer for political science majors to UCLA.

2nd thing, you can retake the math placement test at a higher level.

I would certainly petition with the math department to get placed directly into Stats if possible. You really don’t need to take the remedial Algebra courses to excel in Stats.
