lol....good point....

but that's a different subject :)

lol....good point....

but that's a different subject :)

hahah

I wanted to give a good example...
that was the first thing that popped up :P:P

would these programs help with MATH 2C SAT II?

hey somebody is advertising here

Kerry should have won? Who the hell are you? Damn Libs.

Chill, personal opinions

let us be honest...
the whole Iraq war is dragging the whole country down...
the only thing that the war is good for is that the gun/bullets/artillery-industry is running extremely profitable now, most of them headed by bush's friends and aides.

The America's economy is weak , it is in a low conjucture and the government can't get it up again. And you know why, because all the money goes to the war, instead of pumping it in the Economy...

I tell you, subscribe to some magazines, next to your US magazines, and you soon will see the whole picture of it, instead hearing the story from one side over and over again, till you get indoctrinated by Bush & co

It's truly, truly amazing how you people get off topic :)

I sense a hypocrite!

"oh yes it does matter, ever heard of percentile sir?"

Of course I have. Even with these progs the percentile for SAT I math if you get an 800 will always be 99th. After all, half the nation is too dumb (or lazy) to score above a 520. Besides, the SAT is scaled based on a curve, so it wouldn't matter.

ok the final line is...won't the curve get worse due to such people?

Well that's tough **** Vehement because it is a LEGAL method. If the curve gets tougher (which it wont) due to people using LEGAL programs, so be it. Might as well complain about the curve getting worse due to people who study for the SAT. How can you even stretch this issue so far as to say that the curve will be tougher? If we make a rough estimate, lets say 5% of the SAT takers use programs very efficiently. They, on average, each get 0.5 raw points than they would without the programs. Would that be enough to skew the curve? I think not.

0.5? you have so little faith in those darn things?

Think of using programs as creating counterfeit money. A little counterfeit money introducted into the economy actually spurs consumer spending and helps economic growth. The reason people who produce it get arrested is they get greedy :(

Minor use of programs on the SAT can effectively raise an individual's score. Major use can screw up grading curve.

I hate to say it, but I'm slowly realizing the use of programs may not be a bad move. If we apply darwinism, the strongest will survive. In a sense, people who use programs augment their strength through technology in order to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Madskier stop being verbose and undercut the circumlocution in your college confidential post compositions.

On a serious note, how many 800'ers actually used programs like these?

I find it funny (and horrifying) you think it is ever a government's legitimate function to "get up" an economy by "pumping" money into it. We have a word for the those who think it is politically just for a few to control the resources of the many, and it starts with an e, comes with a lit, and ends in a -tism A government exists to protect our most basic individual rights, ergo, by bringing the war on terrorism half-way across the world into the hearth of terrorist Arabia to

a.) protect U.S. citizens by taking out the potential, and as far as the world community knew, probable threat that Suddam's regime posed on American citizens

b.) bring the hotbed of fundamentalist insurgency and other sick-minded terrorists to Iraq to terrorize our MILITARY as opposed to our INNOCENT PUBLIC in America

and most notably

c.) implement a government that will give the middle east an appreciation for our freedom-loving way of life (which is going to affect not just the Iraqi region, but the entire backwashed, freedom-destitute area that is the Middle East, with the possible exception of Turkey and Israel).

Wait a minute, did I just offend you by saying Iraqis might enjoy their rights being protected, too?...or am I wrong by predicting your stereotypical reaction that freedom is only something Americans should enjoy at the disposal of the socialist Democrats in congress?

Oh, and in case you havn't noticed, our economy has recovered brilliantly considering our market was destroyed by the internet bubble-burst of 99' and our World Trade Centers collapsed just a little more than three years ago.

Perhaps you should, "subscribe to some magazines, next to your (liberal) magazines, and..soon...see the whole picture of it, instead hearing the story from one side over and over again, till you get indoctrinated"

not to pass judgement on people but from Vehement's posts, he sounds like the stereotypical "cut throat cornellian" in the cornell boards. The kind of student who will not help others or in fact even give them the wrong advice just to make the curve more favorable to him.

Youre just a traditionel case of a brainwashed american....
A year ago, few US exchange students went to my country to stay for a year. When they arrived, I asked them about the war in Iraq, at that time they said exactly the same thing as you are now. A few months later, I started the discussion agian. This time they all 4 agreeded with me about Iraq, they even went to demonstrate against Bush when he arrived here.

First Iraq was an unnessery war, it was started with lies about weapons of mass destruction, the possibilty of Bin Laden in the country. Both things were never found there, and still Bush hasn't apology for this tremendous mistake.
Second if every day you hear the same thing about Iraq, at the end you will believe in it. Just as you hear everyday someone is raped, at the end when it is night you will be afraid to get raped.
Third I believe in the Roosevelt way..pumping money in the economy..in almost every european country it is happening now, and we already see the change of the economic climate.

im moderate in my political views and im neither super-for or super-against bush and i just wanted to add that the economy is not that bad at all right now.. interests rates are low and the stock market is fairly high from where it was. however, the dollar is weak.. but that's not that big of a problem for a while unless youre planing on vacationing out of the country.. may be a bigger problem later on but not now

I am happy of the weakness of tthe dollar, this is gonna be a very very cheap vacation this year in america
