Math SAT II Question

My daughter is taking the Math SAT II in May. I see that there are two versions, Level 1 and Level 2. I have no clue as to which she should sign up for. She's a junior and currently taking AP Calc (and is doing very well.)

What's the difference between the two levels?

Thanks.

level one test alg 1, geometry and algebra 2
level two test alg1, geometry, algebra 2 and precal, i think she should take second one its easy especially if she's taking ap cal and doing very well in it.

Yeah, math II is the better test for her.

Level 1 focuses on algebra and plane geometry. Level 2 focuses on functions and trigonometry. If she's in calculus, then she should probably take Level 2.

One interesting difference is that to get an 800 on the Level 1 test you basically can't miss any, whereas to get an 800 on the Level 2 test you can miss around 7 or 8 points.

basically level 1 is pointless

take 2

my daughter took Math II last may and got 720 when she was at 10th grade (studying precalculus). She was not very happy about her score. Could she retake Math II this may to improve her score (she is studying caculus now)?

Yes she can.

related question:
What if I take both? Is that a dumb idea?

john - yes, b/c they are the same subject (math), if you're gonna take both, just take 2c

waytogo- studying calc won't help your 2c score, but reviewing geo/alg2/precalc will
