Mathematical Bias!!! This is an outrage

You can get a 35 on two sections on the ACT and still get a 36. You need a perfect 800 in every section of the SAT to get the equivalent 2400. This logic obvioulsy can be applied to other inferior scores (scoring a 29.6 turns into a 30...etc).

So...I'm an SAT tester...i feel cheated. lol not really, but what do you think?

hm... that's a little odd. how do the curves compare?

It doesn't really matter...

If you want to get your "fair share", take the ACT.

the OP's just asking for opinion, i think.

well here hows this.

if you miss 1 on the ACT, its a 35 or lower on any section.

Some of the time, -1 on the CR is still a 800. Also, you can get like a combination of 10 essay/78 WMC and still get 800 on the Writing

technically you can argue for many things, for example ACT only has 4 choices and theyd ont count off if you miss one...but the ACT time is bad...i always atleast run out in science and reading

That's why a 36 isn't as impressive as a 2400!

But yeah I see your point..i would love a perfect score but that's extremely hard on the SAT...i don't know ONE person with a 2400 but yet I know a couple with a 36. I'll be ok with a 2300+ though..haha :)

i know TWO people with 2400s and nobody with a 36...but thats also probably because i only know three people who have taken the ACT lol

alright bob that's a good point...didn't know that if you miss anything on the ACT you get a 35 on that section.

yawn -- if i told you of some injustice, like robbing someone for example, would you reply..."if you want to get your fair share, rob some people"?

^ Yes, absolutely.

sometimes the reading/science section on the act can be curved quite harshly

-1: 34
