I'm an 800 verbal, 650 math SAT I. Trying to decide whether I should take a math SAT 2. I'm a little intimidated by the math IIc-although I would have to take it, since I'm in Pre-calculus, and taking math IC would look pretty bad. I've heard that it's not very hard, but I'm still debating between math IIc and u.s. history. I'm also taking biology and literature, literature should be a breeze and I'll have to study for bio but I'm confident I can do well. (chem or physics would be another story, lol)

If you are confident in your precalc skills then take it. I took precalc my freshman year, AP calc my soph. year. I took the sat2 math 2c june of my sophomore year. no studyin no nothing. I answered 38 problems and left 12 blank (I was pretty sure of the ones I did answer). I thought it was hard as hell. granted I hadn't done math in a month and didn't study and most of the stuff on the test was precal. I was 75% and got a 740.

I took the US history 2c last year in june. again, didn't study again, had not looked at history since the AP test in may, got a 620, thought it was pretty tough heh.

I took the bio sat2 at the same time as US history, got a 670, hadn't taken ap bio since sophomore year, and again didn't study, but I thought the test was hard (IE i got lucky).

I recommend to you and any others if you haven't already, get a real sat ii book and take tests for subjects that you are deciding to test on. Score it and see how you do!

It helped me. And personally, i would take math over history.
