We want to send a mattress topper to son for his birthday. He checked and he does rate one. Are the racks standard twin or XL twin or something else?
Thanks

I would send a standard you may save a bit of money and I think it would be better to have one that is to short then to long.

Gave our son a standard twin and he has never said anything about it being too short. He really likes his topper says it is much better to sleep on.

Thank you.

My son's rack is 39 inches wide and 72 inches long. He also wants a topper and I have only found one in that size and it was designed for a roller bed. He was afraid if it did not fit exactly his rack may not be up to standards. I am still looking.

My son puts his topper over his regular bedding every night then removes it and stores it in his closet every morning along with a quilt. Hope this helps. This way you dont have to worry how it looks because you only use it when you sleep.

Another good idea is a sleeping bag....easy to roll up and store. I am an avid hiker so I brought my hiking one and it was really good when it got cold out and comfortable.

If I recall, plebes can normally rate sleeping bags.

Having personally slept on one, they are twin XL.

By this time of year, most Mids have their racks all squared away and battoned down- they actually take them down on the floor, make them up- perfectly, flip them over and duct-tape the heck of them to keep them just right- most will never sleep under their blue magnets again! So.... the idea of a sleeping bag is not a bad idea- just remember to get one of those sheet-liners that can be put in- and more importantly, taken out- to be washed! I have seen lots of Mids opting for egg crates, foam toppers, featherbeds, etc.... i guess all a matter of what apeals to them in terms of comfort! As for me, after struggling to climb up into those racks, it didn't matter how the mattress flet- I was just happy to be in it, and so exhausted I just passed out! Getting down was a whole other story..... (Our Mid opts for a nice fleece blanket- full sized, that he sandwiches himself in!
