I found a copy of this book that my parents bought a long time ago. I haven't heard much opinion or consensus on it. Do you think it would be helpful to work through it for the SAT? What other opinions/comments do you have on it, if you have used it before? I just want to know if I should work through it or whether such would be a waste of time.

Also, on an unrelated note, what about Barron's SAT 2400?

mny, FYI, I’m in the middle of rewriting Maximum SAT to coincide with the new Official SAT Study Guide. It’s a major rewrite, and should be done in about a month…not as soon as I’d hoped, but it should be vastly improved, including solutions to a large portion of the Official Guide’s problems. It will also be available as a downloadable version. pm me if you have any questions.

And if anyone who has used the Maximum SAT has any suggestions or comments, please pm me.

The previous editions of Maximum SAT were easily among the most helpful and best written SAT guidebooks on the market. If the latest edition continues to improve on itself, it will remain on everyone’s “must-have” for preparing for the SAT.

I think Maximum SAT is a great book, even for those scoring 700+. It provides tips for CR and Writing (I haven’t looked at the math part cause I already score 800s consistently) that are very original and enlightening in style.
