The last question, asking for the shorter diagonal of a parallelogram.
53? anyone? i think it was like C or D

umm i thought the answer to the log question was 2A. did anyone else get that answer?

i got like 4a...i don't quite remember though.

i cant wait until 5/28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm pretty sure it was 4a. because it was (1/2)log(something) to 2log(something) which is 1/2 times 4 is 2. god, that didnt make any sense.

So what really is the answer for the box and whisker plot question? I know it's already mentioned here previously but I can't see consensus.
I. 50 percent is greater
II. standard deviation
III. range

(they might be out of order)

i think the standard deviation one is false, because aren't standard deviations smaller when the range is smaller too?

and don't scores come out 5/30?

scores come out online 5/24

hmm, that's what the table said. i think that's what they planned, but on "my organizer" in the "my to-do" list it says "check back on may 30 for may 5 SAT scores," so i'm thinking that's more reliable.

has anyone taken this test before in january (any year) and gotten an 800? if so, what was your score?

a close friend of mine skipped a good few (8-10) on the jan. '06 math lvl 2 test and she got an 800 ... she's definitely not the person to lie about these kind of things, but from reading everything here, her feat seems impossible considering her score.

Hey, when we had to maximize that graph between -2 and 4, was the answer -2? I took the derivative and found that the two local maxima/minima were both possible answers, but then i graphed it and was disappointed to see that -2 was the largest.

so far...i missed 3 for sure...dang...
would score under 700 hurt a chance at ucla or cal???

do you guys think i can get above 700 with 3~4omits and about 5miss??

if its really 3~4omits and 5 miss, its over 700.

Dolcevalse, did your friend really skip 8? AND GET AN 800? There is hope!!! AAH.

Though it is extremely unlikely that -8 raw = 800 this time. Was January extremely difficult or something?

for anyone who thinks they got an 800 on this test, how did you score on barron's prac tests? what about princeton review?
[/quote]
if it helps, i have a friend who scored low 700s (sometimes high 600s i think) on barrons p-tests and he got an 800 on the real thing.

aquamarinee, she really DID get an 800. and after i told her about people here at CC who think that getting a raw of 43 is EXTREMELY LUCKY (to get an 800), she didn't believe me .. i don't know how difficult the jan '06 test was.
