May 2013 - Mathematics Level 2

:) :) :) Nice :)

Did you guys find it hard? Would a raw score of 43 still get me an 800?

I thought it was really easy.

Raw score 49… stupid standard deviation

I left 4 blank, but I didn’t guess any of the other questions, so hopefully I got an 800. The thing I’m worried about is careless mistakes.

Supposedly on the average Math II test a raw score of 43 is enough for an 800. I can’t speak to the relative ease of this particular test however.

Ended up omitting 6 but I was confident in the 44 I answered. Hoping for an 800.

I left 5, and am pretty sure I got the rest right. I’m worried about stupid mistakes like missing a minus sign or something…

When are we allowed to talk about the questions?

i thought between 40-50 especially 41-43 46-47 were hard. harder than barrons sat and the college board practice. overall thought the test was harder than usual. can we do question talk?

yeah the last 10-15ish were hard. i breezed through the first 20-30 though

Question talk?

I think we can talk about the questions… chem and bio are doing so

When we took the test, it said we could not discuss answers.

why not? everyone has either already taken it or is taking it right now and can’t access CC because they can’t use their phones.

who cares, they cant trace it back to us. did anyone get the matrix question with ax+by=2? and did anyone get the sin(funky sign)=sin theta cos(funky sign)=-cos theta?

At the very least you should wait until all three possible tests are over, as some people might be taking Math II last.

i omitted the matrix question. for the sin question, i think i put pi/2 + theta, but i’m not too sure.

@IndigoPlateau, you aren’t allowed to use electronics during the breaks, so they wouldn’t be able to access CC anyway.

Rokr, the answer was minus theta–I tried all of them and that was the one that worked.
I said an infinite number of lines would be perpendicular to a plane.
For the angle in the circle one that asked for the tan of the angle, were we supposed to leave the negative? I think it was like tan120 And I got a neg number.

@rokr

Haven’t the people in California not started yet? Or do they have different tests for regions?

kiwisarecool, yeah, i figured it was wrong. i had initally omitted and came back to it at the end and just took a guess. and i got a negative number as well for that tan question
