i thought it was asking for the average

The question asked for the average, which was 113.

Yeah, so you had to divide that whole thing = 113. I was 100% sure about that one.

i thought the question asked the average of the first 225 positive even integers...

Yeah I got pi/4, not 1/2. The area is just what is within the circle and it doesn't include the circumference. What I did was I put the area of the circle over the area of the whole square, which I thought was 4. But is it right? It was basically an educated guess

No, it asked for all positive integers. I read it three times. It didn't say even or else I would have freaked out and not answered it ;)

sorry. the answer's 226. confirmed.

take the sum of 2x from x=1 to x=225
divide by 225
answer is 226.
it said even integers though...

the sum of infinite series was 2 1/4 right?

that's right. the answer was 2.25

Yes, I got that juventus.

navk, are you sure about the even integers? I dont recall that.

nope, i got 2 and a 1/2

it was like 2 + (1/x + 1/x+1...)

i'm really sure. i triple checked that problem and slowed myself down and missed three in the end because of that problem!

yea i thought it was all integers up to 225

I remember all integers from 1-225.

Yeah, I got the same as maributt.

Do you guys remember what the geometric series part was? Im pretty sure 1/4 was what it added up to.

but it doesn't make sense! It was one of the last questions and all integers 1-225 is too easy.
also, they had 226 as an answer. it would be harder to take the average of all positive even integers, but somehow they guessed that i'd make a reading mistake and take the average of all even integers? that's so ridiculously crazy.

geometric was 2.25 because there was a 2 in front of the series.
for the circle and points i got pi/4 since you have to account for points outside of the circle, which makes a square

Yeah, I got 2.25 and pi/4.
