May 2007 - Chemistry

I got I, III as well.

Does anyone remember the answer to the multiple choice question where 4LH2 and 3L O2 combine to produce water and tons of energy at 1atm and 20C. It is then cooled and the answer choices were like 2L of O2, 3L of H2, and stuff

1L of O2 remains.

2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O

4L of H2 and 2L of O2 (mole ratio 2:1) are used up, leaving 1L of O2.

For the Bohr question, which line represents the ionization energy? I put the line from bottom to top.

I put that too cause the other ones didn't make sense... but i don't really know

What do you think the curve will be for this test...

78-81: 800

The h2 02 question which explodes and is then cooled back down doesnt have a reverse reaction. i chose choice E because once the explosion has happened, u can't reverse the reaction w/o an addition of stress (le chateliers principle).

Haha i chose H2S for the least hazardous gas....i thought since we make it in lab experiments and it has a rotten egg smell its not hazardous :p i mean chem labs aren't supposed 2 be harmful to us....ahhhhh

rongdong: The curve won't be that generous.

I'm predicting 82-85 for an 800.

Why does everyone keep saying that this test was easy? I've scored 800 on every single practice one I've taken and may be missed 1-2 questions on the multiple choice section of the AP exam. And I thought it was hard (as in 78-85=800). :(

is the curve for this test usually that strict? that really sucks...... the prep books usually have like... a 6 or 7 point curve i think..

It wasn't easy though. There were hard quetsions on there.

The curve is usually really generous. Except the one in blue book only has 82-85 curve

start makeing a full test!! I will start collecting all of the questions posted and put them into the test order that i remember, i think we have about 15 question, only 70 more to go!!

What was the curve for the last SAT chem exam... in January was it? does anybody know

How do you know what the curve usually is? Collegeboard never publishes it.

They do publish some from like the 1990's and I go to prep class and they have the curves.

The curve was good in the 1990s, but it's changed recently.

damnit! already 3 wrong

9 g of H20

I 1 mol H atoms
II 8.05 g O
III 11.2 L

I got I and III but that wasn't a choice, so i chose I, II, and III

me too! but that's wrong... i think... didn't the question say liquid water? that would mean that the 22.4 per mole wouldn't apply right (it's only for gases?)... so that answer should be I only... or am i wrong? I hope i'm wrong......
