May 2011 - Biology (E/M)

I said violet
What were the last ones again?

I put green for the pigment.

Pigments i guessed violet, the last few questions i put like rrna for least divergence, hox for showing divergence plants animals and bacteria.

I put green because I thought it meant what would have most change, and if you use green light, it can’t absorb? Dunno, maybe I misinterpreted the question

And I also put rRNA for least divergence.

i put green as the pigment as well, thinking that violet and red were too similar to differentiate and green was the other extreme. as for the more gas in the chambers due to higher temperatures, that was because cold water holds more dissolved oxygen, right?

^ I put that as well

Yea i put holds less oxygen. CO2 wouldn’t affect photolysis.

Also, there was the one with the bird feather and mating!!
I put they used visual cues and were diurnal!

Also, I put green for the pigment question!

wasn’t even biology , more like environmental science. I took the E part legit like 2 questions on heridity and none on punctuated equilibrium or blood types, nothing about the small intestine or the heart or the stomach. Unusualy. Probably bombed.

for the heat and the more oxygen is released it was because at a higher temperature the enzymes used for photolysis are faster!

yes for visual clues
what were the substrates I put CO2 & H20

left the one about hormone synthesis blank  wayyy to many T’s

visual cues was pretty obvious! it was weather it was diurnal or nocturnal!! which did you pick facedownclap?!?

^ no enzymes involved in photolysis

what the hell is a cambium cell?!?!?!? and which celll or whatever had the most chrloplasts? which was used for CO2 , gas exchange?

Oops
I chose the one that “higher temperature is closer to the optimum temperature of the enzymes” something :-s anyone with me??
And about the color, I pick orange. I actually wondered between orange and red since carotenoids pigment does not absorb red-yellow-orange light so the photosynthesis will change dramatically - I guess.

About the confusing-looking molecule I chose lipid as well (phew) cause I think that’s the phospholipid.

dinural
10 char

it was diurnal
so you can actually see them. at night you wouldnt be able to

Cambium cells grew, guard cells control gas exchange, and mesophyll has chloroplasts?

@collegecrazey: cambium cell is to make new layer of phloem and xylem in the stem - as far as I can remember. The cell with most chroloplasts is palisade “something” cell in the leaf
