i put sympathetic character because then again throughout the whole passage it shows how she was constantly being careful not to hurt her parents so i assumed she was doing the same by hugging the doll to maybe make her mom believe she liked it?

@Light365

there was a lot of emphasis on her parents’ reactions and questions. for example the mom needed the daughter to like the doll, to play with the doll, to take it to the tree, the dad was extremely happy about her playing with the doll, she snuck away and the dad didn’t even notice since he was so happy that’s why i put it

@wpfjtmwls

I didn’t get that as an answer. Do you remember any other options

@Light

She played with her dad and took the doll with her to read because she didn’t want them to feel bad. She specifically even said she snuck away from her dad because he was into playing and she didn’t want to ruin his fun.

@likeastarr
venice/flouride was exprimental

@wpfjtmwls
I got objective, but I got disdain for the other one because I got the sense that she was annoyed. I am not sure though.

both venice and flouride were experimental. I had 3 CR sections.

I agree with sympathetic, the other answers didnt make sense.

@light365

it consistently came back to the idea of “i am being sensitive here because i don’t want to hurt their feelings”. its not 100% perfect, but “i don’t want to hurt them” ≈ “i need to protect their emotions”

there is no indication anywhere that love would be repealed.

for judging the experimental, is it the same number section for everyone just different when it comes to whether it was a reading writing or math?

couldn’t her ‘try to please parents’ behavior also be evidence that she fears repeal of their love? the main source for my answer was the part where she was scared of a scolding when she came down from the tree.

One of the answers I got for the short passages was parochial, the one about the world getting smaller in passage 1 and big in passage 2.

Anyone get this?

–one with “Be Happy, Love Baba”
1.describe a pattern
or
identify a conflict

2.total mockery of a blunt command
or
mild criticism of a commonplace expression

–gift one
cajolery and play?

–dancer
description of gaining a new understanding?

–trojan clouds
stability vs variety
or permanence vs decay?

–texting/IM
1.continuity w/ discourse
appeal for narrative
of
inhibiting critical thinking
2.idealistic hopes or personal conviction?

@light
in english class, certainly. the SAT is much more literal, so no, there is nothing from the text that explicitly supports that conclusion

Wait wait guys I got a completely different SAT than most of you???

Um if anyone remembers, there was two passages on the commercialization of universities???

Yea, I got that too. Parochial means like limited in view; I thought that made sense.

@michael2013
Yes! I got parochial as well.

@Light365 that’s a possible interpretation but it’s really just conjecture. there’s a lot more evidence supporting the other answer.

@michael2013 Yeah I got that too.

–one with “Be Happy, Love Baba”
1.describe a pattern
