May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

Oh yeah then evocation was what I got. Yippee!

Why isn’t it “to enter”? Why is it “only grudgingly”?

Estimate score:
Math: 1-2
CR: 5-6
Writing 10 on essay 3-5 wrong

For the problem about the race among 4 people, was the answer 24 or 16?

“Prior” implies past perfect tense -> “There had been”

i got unnerving.

and the race, i got 24

@preply: which question are you talking about??

unnerving is the right answer

@DivisionByZero No, that was a different one. It asked for x-z. I’m pretty sure.

What? I put “to enter” instead of “entrance.”

What did other people put about the race problem…24 or 16?

@ilovediannaagron I put unnerving because disquieting means inducing worrisome emotions.

what would my score be:

Math: 1 omit, 2 wrong bubble, 2 wrong grid in
CR: 3 omit, about 8 wrong

PLEASE!!!

24 for the race problem

can someone explain how do the math about 7 is median, mean, and mode, which number can be missed? I keep thinking in my head and still can’t solve it…

Can anyone remind me of the race question? I forgot what was asked.

@n1234321
I’m not sure what the exact question was but if it was simply 4 people race and what is every possible result, it’s 24
4 Permutation 4.

I got unnerving and 24 as well.

It was 4x3x2x1 right?

the race question… there are four people in a race, how many ways are there for their different orders

Was the Emily Dickinson one with wearisome the same one as with unnerving? I put wearisome…
