***May 2015 - Chemistry***

Is it possible to appeal to collegeboard if you feel that a question is wrong or ambiguous?

That’s what I put

Something sodium…i guess…

@teenagecrime i wrote fractional distillation…

Yes.

Ok…i mi8 b really dumb bt cud someone plz tellme wat is TT CE TF,…???

TT is true, true (statement i is true, statement ii is true, but the reason for statement i being true isn’t statement ii being true)

CE means that both statements are true and the second statements is the reason for the first statement being true (like if statement 1 is nacl having a high boiling point and statement 2 is nacl has ionic bonding, both statements are true, and the second statement proves the first statement true) - these questions are usually a lot more vague though, at least for me :frowning:

TF is true, false

i was pretty confused by some of the TTCE section ones because the wording was a bit vague though…

does anybody know what the curve would be for 2 blank, 3 wrong?

Lol I might be late but there was a question on flame tests for sodium which was yellow and the density question for ammonia 17/22.4 which was 0.7 something choice A.

@skieurope what essays?

@Bse15578 I don’t know what you mean.

@skieurope I don’t know how to quote on here, but you said “No. Spend the additional time fine-tuning your essays.” There aren’t any essay portions on Chemistry SAT?

He means college essays

@Bse15578

Correct.

Are there any official released exams available? Should I just buy the Official SAT subject Test book?

^ Wondering the same thing. Has the CB released any exams, or is it the exam that’s in the blue book?

CB is very insecure of their tests. If you google “released SAT chemistry exams” theres a website with three old exams that are prior to 2000, which i used as practice. I think those were a lot like the test, even though they’re old.
