We’re about 2.5 months out from the test I think
What books do you guys recommend for this test?
Haha! Hi friends! Retaker here (Jun 2014). I scored a 770 the first time around. I used Kaplan, Barron’s and McGraw Hill. I’m confident I will get 800 this time, so I’m just reviewing all my old stuff.
@michelle426 Yeah I tried to use only PR last time and ended up with a 750 so I’m trying for a higher score. 770 is a great score! Did you use any tutors or just the books?
@fifteenpapers I had a group class and we used kaplan’s and barrons. I used MGH on my own
Can anyone tell me the stuff i would need to memorize? Activity series, compound colors?
There was a matching on compound colors, some in gas and some in solid state. Also, memorize colors of some elemental forms.
When I took it in May, we only had one color on it and it was like something burns yellow what is it? Sodium.
So we have a month left. How are you guys studying?
Omg guys it’s in 1 day I’m so screwed
Does anyone know how often functional groups, electrochemistry, molecular structure (and Lewis dot), and other obscure stuff get tested?
My practice tests have been all over the place from 780 on PR test 1, 760 on Barron, 760 on college board, 720 on McGraw hill, and 620 on the PR test 3!!
hi guys, I am doing Barron’s practice tests and getting like 8-10 mistakes per exam, how many mistakes can I do tommorow (exam day) and still score 800?
@chx177 a friend told me that questions like functional groups came to her in part A . It might also come in true and false cause I saw it in PR tests. Other topics I am pretty sure they can come because these make up 25% of the exam (Barron’s content chart). For electrochemistry Barron’s doesn’t go over it but PR does, I didn’t start that chapter yet, but I might do it if I had time
good luck
@mariam2016 u can miss prob 2-3 questions
Remember, you may NOT discuss the official test questions on this thread. If anyone is discussing, I will report you to the College Board.
It’s tomorrow guys…
Hey everyone! Should I memorize solubility chart and the colors? One of my friends told me to memorize colors but which colors should I memorize and stuff
memorize the colors and solubility rules listed in the Princeton Review book, if you have it
The PR doesn’t cover all the colors but it covers a good amount. Even if the correct answer on the test isn’t covered on PR, you should be able to get it from eliminating answeers that are covered by PR.
How was the test?
