May or June? US Hist. or Lit?

I'm planning on taking 3 subject tests: Math II, Chem, and either US History or Lit. Should I take them on May 5, right before the AP tests, or June 2, after school is over? The AP tests I am taking are US History (May 11), Chem (May 15), and English Language (May 16).

I'm leaning toward taking them in June, but the problem is, I have a state piano competition on that date, which I can miss, but I would rather not...

Also, which test is easier to score higher on, US history or Lit? Which test would you recommend I take?

Math/science are my stronger subjects, but I don't do bad in English and history either. We do a lot of literature in my English III AP class, and I am a pretty avid reader. However, my US History AP class is also pretty rigorous, although I don't enjoy history very much. These classes are probably my toughest classes from an AP filled schedule, so they force me to study these subjects, so I figure I would take an SAT subject test on one of them to round out my math and science.

To put things into perspective, I'm aiming for close to 800 in Math and Chem and 750+ in US History/Lit, and 5s on my AP tests. I got a 232 on the PSAT...haven't taken the SAT yet. However, I'm really bad (or should I say good) at waiting until the last minute to study for these things. Thanks.
