-2 will probably be high 700s, right? i know i got the fits/sudden bursts one wrong (i put the whim answer after much debate in my head between the two) and i got the qualifying question wrong too…im really hoping those were my only mistakes.

@yellowroses

thanks i remember that question…
do you remember the question for frida kahlo passage…that had ‘sincere form of expression’ in the choice? i remember that ‘sincere form of expression’ choice was wrong,
and chose something else instead, but don’t remember the question and other answere choices…

why not interdisciplinary? ugggggggh

Agreed with australian

Fanciful:
1 : marked by fancy or unrestrained imagination rather than by reason and experience
2 : existing in fancy only
3 : marked by or as if by fancy or whim <gave their=“” children=“” fanciful=“” names=“”></gave>

just doesnt make sense to me

for the question “mask and frame question: contradicting purposes”

Why wasn’t it revealing inner feelings?

@WongTongTong
according to merriam webster-
LIFELIKE:
accurately representing or imitating real life
FANCIFUL:
1 : marked by fancy or unrestrained imagination rather than by reason and experience
2 : existing in fancy only
3 : marked by or as if by fancy or whim <gave their=“” children=“” fanciful=“” names=“”></gave>

basically the children’s books were fiction but could still be used for teaching.

because it clearly said “paradoxically”

"

2nd Definition, Imaginary.

@recyleera
not sure what ur asking, but interdisciplinary was an answer.

fanciful might might work… but i don’t think teachers could exploit those books though… i think they **employ **them…

hmm…wasn’t there a question that asked what the difference was between role playing and her wearing the costume? and i think the answer was exactly what you said.

@austrianpong again, this was explained a long time ago. please use the search function. there is absolutely nothing wrong with the word exploit in this context.

its clearly fanciful/exploit
not lifelike/employ

lifelike doesnt make sense.

@austrianpog
EXPLOIT:
1 : to make productive use of : utilize <exploiting your=“” talents=“”> <exploit your=“” opponent’s=“” weakness=“”>
2 : to make use of meanly or unfairly for one’s own advantage <exploiting migrant=“” farm=“” workers=“”></exploiting></exploit></exploiting>

anyone remeber why the author use “SUPPOSEDLY”
there were choicese like… blahblah…counterintuitive…

Nope. But I’m fairly sure that my answer choice was counterintuitive. supposedly can mean a sarcastic, sardonic type comment in which the author uses a mocking tone. I think he was attacking the intuition of whoever else, but I dont even know what passage you’re referring to right now…

@nonono the author was implying that it was an erroneous claim, or something like that. it was not counterintuitive

@matt

what was the passage and the context of the question you all are talking about?

i think that was the chimpanzee passage. i think the narrator was like “this person supposedly invented this, but he really did not”. or i could be making this up.

Yes! Looking at this thread, I think I did alright! All the ones I wasn’t sure of seem right, except…

Squalid not cataclysmic is the only vocab I wasn’t sure.

Succint is definitely correct, nothing else really fits economically and cartoons.

I really think the butler was deferential, he didn’t wanna get into a fight with the lawyer.

Eagerness is definitely right. He was eager like **** at first, that’s why we turned his back and went straight to work after the dude left,only to find out that he bit off more than he could chew.

Is Personal toll correct? I wrote moral sacrifice at first, then I was like *** does that even mean, then changed it.

Is fits and starts that “Sudden bursts” thing?

I know I got the two line part wrong, I know my answer wasn’t scope and whatever.

Is brevity of interval correct?
