May SAT CR Thread

@gthopeful93
what was the exact question for sincere form of expression???

@gthope: yes I put this as well, although I was torn between this and the next answer

can someone remind me what corrupt is the right answer to and why?

can’t remember any “corrupt”

I got corrupt in one of my answers, it was on the diamond passage asking about why the peoples’ memories would fail. i think its because in the line from the passage it said like those innocent people accused want a record that people later on could appeal to?

@nonono

Not sure about the exact question, but I know it was in the dresses passage.

lol no!! it was defamed, the innocent victim’s defamed status.

I know the answer, but I am wondering what the other answer choices were with the ‘prudent’ one.

And for the eagerness, shouldn’t it be courtesy because he is an employee and he wasn’t eager to write seeing that he said no the first time and he wouldn’t have done it unless his employer had read his face correctly.

Yes, on that one it was defamed

Anyone…
are the question for “sincere form of expression”
and the one w/ answer chocie “increasing fragility”
different??

nonon: yes they were different questions

@luceverita
do u remember the question for “sincere form of expression” then?

it was about her playing a role

Isn’t complete agreement too extreme?

^what other answer choices were there??? i dont recall that question at all T T

yjlee: what are you referring to?

nono: the other choice I was tempted on was something about dramatizing her history

@yjlee
it isn’t extreme because passage 2 directly addresses that point.
and there wasn’t any other answer choices that had positive connotation

I have a couple of questions about CR:
For the artist passage, was it counterintuitive?
Does the dress show an individual’s history?
String theory: isn’t complete agreement too extreme? I put amused tolerance.
Chimpanzees: They were NOT cracking nuts…They were either trying to show that chimpanzees were similar to humans or that they were collectively working on different tasks.
Sent Comp: Succinctly or ludicrous?
Butler: was he eager or was it out of courtesy?
String theory: avenues or interdisciplinary? Isn’t it avenues b/c the guy was like ppl should research in other areas b/c the string theory doesn’t work? Didn’t mention anything about integrating different science disciplines…

for the string theory passage,
was it complete agreement, toleration, skepticism?
