May SAT CR Thread

Remembered one:

It included “precocious”. Anyone remember it?

@l0rdie that was the one with the cartoonist and the artist
answer choices included precocious, succinct and ludicrous
i put succint

What were the answer choices for the question with ‘prudent’?

Why was the butler eager when the employer turned his back when he rejected his offer the first time around and only did it because the employer read his feelings?

Prudent was the answer. The one with “precocious” was “ostensibly”, I believe. The butler wanted to take part and felt he good, but didn’t want to be presumptive, so said no, but the other man could tell by the look on his face/generally knowing him that the the butler wanted to write. So he started writing immediately because he was eager. “Succinct” was right. Complete agreement was right.

For the succinct SC, it went something like. Like authors, painters ‘blah blah’ character _____, not because of lack of interest, but as a means to something else.

choices were precocious, succinct and some others.
I wasnt sure what the former meant, but i knew is specifically VERBAL brevity, and since it was about paintings it didnt really make sense to me.

btang, I remember having the same train of thought about succinctly, because I went with it and didn’t find myself remotely attracted to any other answer.

This time’s CR for some reason has frustrated me a bit lol. March felt easier even though i only got 710.

the other answer choice for prudent was sentimental.

The one with the Robinson Crusoe, the last question , I put the quote was an omen, or a sign of future disaster…

can someone jog my memory on the ‘plagiarized’ question?

i don’t really remember it…

rubikscube99: It’s some author included some books in Bibliography so he didn’t plagiarize.

In the String theory passage:

 • “draw” means “infer” ?
 • I remember some answer being “arbitrary nature of theoretical science” ?

For the economically/succinctly SC, does anyone remember the question in its entirety?

I barely remember it.

@math_h1

thanks… do you remember any of the ans choices… sorry for being so specific lol but i thought i got all the s/c until i saw that one :S

Does anyone remember this question for the chimpanzees? There is something about technology being bigger, scarier than we are. And its choices have something like driven by fear, or overshadowed by … blah blah.

Do you guys think Direct Hits really worked this time?

yeah I choose technology overshadowed its creator, too.
can someone verify the new answers?

did the ‘plagiarize’ question have ‘acknowledge’ in the same answer choice?

The “plagiarize” question has choices such as analyze, acknowledge, contradict.

The sentence is like this : Despite the accusations to the contrary, it is unlikely that he intended to ---- the articles since he cited them in his bibliography.

**** i read it wrong. i put acknowledge.

:'( i feel like shooting myself in the foot.

any more updated list…theres like 20questions missing…
