thanks, hope so

Do you think they’ll use the same curve they used in the past? I mean a lot of people on here even said they were shocked about the material on the exam. Apparently the people from June 2011 said around 10 wrong still got them 800s. I’m praying it’ll be the same.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see on the 24th :/

Am I confusing this with some other test, or did one of the questions have a choice about Ford pardoning Nixon…

Yeah I think it was the choice which wasn’t right as the question said pick the wrong response or something like that

Does anybody remember the correct question/answer to that one?

whoever writes the tests has an indian fetish or something because my friend who took it last year said that there were a lot of indian questions on his test, too. I skipped 11 but im pretty confident on the ones I did answer so i probably got 750-790.

Yeah i remember. I think it was Eisenhower talking about how he had to enforce the brown decision even though some states were not happy with it, such as Arkansas

@penguin…I vaguely remember that…but what is vampyfreak talking about with “pick the wrong response”

Does anybody remember the actual wording?

Yeah I’m 99 percent sure it was to pick the president who said that - of course I could be wrong but this is what I understood from the quote : the president has to enforce what the supreme court says to ensure a true democracy and his job as executive is to do so when a given decision takes place – Eisenhower makes sense because he wasn’t a fan of civil rights but he did send army men to escort the little rock 9 at Arkansas … I thought about ford too but I do t know I went with my instinct haha

And besides how could a quote be attributed to 4 people

What did you guys put for the question asking, “What did Nixon, Joseph McCarthy and JFK all have in common?”

I honestly had no idea what to put, but decided to put “all had ties with labor union leaders”… but now looking back, that was a really mindless answer. -_- What was I thinking!! I think it may have been “All came from East Coast families” or something like that.

This test was kinda hard in my opinion. I skipped 11 questions and I know so far that I missed about four questions. Bleh.

helloparis, there was some debate over that one. it was between ‘military background’ and ‘anticommunist’. its been agreed upon that the right answer was that they were, in fact, anticommies.

Sorry what I meant to say was the question I thought stated to pick the incorrect response out of the correct ones. Does anyone know how lenient the curve is? Is it close to2009 or mot

Anyone get that question about who would oppose the manifest destinity? I omitted that one but was leaning towards the northern abolitionist… Also, i put portuguese for the systematic exploration… It was gut feeling of mine, because i felt that too many people would put spanish.

^NE abolitionists is correct, as evidenced by the outraged produced by the Ostend Manifesto.

^^^Anticommunists is also correct. Both JFK and Nixon got their political careers started in federal agencies against communism (forgot the names…whoops). And McCarthy…well, duh.

im starting to second guess myself about jfk mccarthy and nixon. im looking into the wiki page on jfk and it showed not much about him being anti commy or AT LEAST starting his political career as an anti commi. He did however serve in the military…

^Im 100% sure on the anticommunist one. My APUSH teacher also mentioned this factoid during one of her lectures.

But if you are still skeptical, theres not anything we can do about it now anyways.

alluriste^^^

ohhh thanks!
I got something like that but I am not sure about the choices though, the exacting wording, do you remember them perhaps? thanks!

ohhh this is for the lowell question btw! :)

With the manifest destiny question -.- I read too quickly and chose something with new England ugh and I knew the answer. Oh well
