While the site says that they'll be released Mon., if one clicks the "send scores to college" button (after the student logs in), one can see the May scores.

And the results here were really good, better than the Jan. SAT.

S is a rare male who actually regretted that analogizes were eliminated because that had been an area of strength. Despite that loss, his verbal score still went up. He had been glad about the change to harder math problems, and his math score went up, too.

Now, if we can just find colleges that will give wonderful merit aid for a URM with extremely high scores, a rigorous curriculum, great ECs, a good character, but mediocre grades.

If you have trouble finding the scores, it's in the history of scores sent part. It shows what was sent for all previous SATs, including scores pending to be sent for May, 2005.

DD and I are trying to find her scores online. I've done as you suggested, but still cannot get her scores. I don't see a "history of scores sent" part. Where is that? DARN!

Has your D taken the SAT before? Maybe one can only find out scores now if there also are old high school SATs in the system. S had taken it twice before while in h.s.

Maybe that's the problem. This is her first SAT. Oh, well, DD is sitting on the couch saying "don't sweat it ... we'll find out Monday." I guess I'll take her cue. :(

"Now, if we can just find colleges that will give wonderful merit aid for a URM with extremely high scores, a rigorous curriculum, great ECs, a good character, but mediocre grades."

If high school were a few years longer, he would probably have fine grades. IMO, it just takes men longer to buckle down - most of the guys I knew at college really started working during their junior/senior years (and did fine in college). Good luck, and let us know how that turns out.

tried looking at the intro page and it says check back on May 17....went to the Scores Sent page, and they have not yet been sent, so no numbers shown. But, then, S took SATII, which could be on a different post/update cycle.

Northstarmom...just checked in the sent scores area and you are right. There they are. Although it states on the process date that "Request Still Pending". Hope these are right - S got 800 on Critical Reading - YEH!!!

gandert, congratulations to your son on the 800 CR - that's awesome! I have checked back a couple of times, but still no score for DD. She just told me to "chill" and I think we'll head to the dog park ... maybe that will wear out the dogs and make me "chill". Good luck, all!

Northstarmom, that's great news for your son! Bravo for him! My D, as you know, is a junior but graduating early so did not do any testing this year because she did it all in tenth grade. Thus she never ended up doing the new SATs. However, when we heard of the restructuring, we also felt like you did about the analogies, an area of strength of hers on all prior tests. Hated to see them go for a kid like her (though others likely rejoiced, lol). Adding higher level math would have been fine. If anything, the math tested on the SATs is from so many years earlier (ie., Geometry) that they have to review it and would be more up on the current levels or harder levels of math. I happen to think your son's profile looks mighty fine and he will have good options next year, you'll see. Gandert...wow, your child's critical reading is phenomenal....kudos!

Glad we are past this testing stuff....
Susan

The analogies were my forte when I took the SAT. An SAT without analogies is like a latte without foam. Or maybe: SAT is to analogies as day is to sunshine?

As usual, my daughter's aren't posted yet. But she didn't ask to have them sent anywhere either. If it goes like the March test, we probably will be the last to know by...oh...say July. :)

DD's scores are also not yet posted...we tried all the suggestions above and just get a note "check on May 23rd" so that is what we'll do...I guess. Unless someone here has another suggestion!
