Maybe I was too confident?

Hello everyone, so recently I took the AP US Hist (4) and both of the AP Physics exams, and my score on the AP Physics 2 exam was extremely disappointing. I thought I aced the exam… I also had taken a practice test couple days before the real exam (the one in the Physics 2 Barron’s) and got a borderline 4/5. My teacher said that he was sure that I would get at least a 4 because I had a B in that class. He said everyone who got a B in his class got a 4 at least. On the actual exam I got a 3, and I was shocked. I don’t know how it happened, I was sure to at least obtain a 4 or a 5. The Physics 1 score is still being processed, but on that exam I wasn’t that confident. Now that I got a 3 on the Physics 2 Exam, I am extremely worried about my Physics 1 exam, which I suspect that it is most likely not a passing grade. Also the exam materials were sent in late because something happened apparently in the guidance office. The exam materials were sent in in June-ish. Could there be a mistake? Do you think there could’ve been a mix-up between my Physics 1 and 2 scores?

Should I request a rescore?

The rescore only changes anything if the machine that ran your scores made a mistake, and that only happened if you erased a ton and made it unclear which answer was bubbled in, at least to the machine. Almost everybody thinks they should’ve gotten a higher score and didn’t, but that doesn’t mean there was a scoring mistake. CB messes up <1% of scores per year, and almost every single rescore success, of which there are quite few, started out with a 1 or 2. I wouldn’t, but ultimately it’s up to you.
